Our extra-curricular highlights
Debating and public speaking
Students develop their thinking, communication and teamwork skills through debating and public speaking. Students at Prestons Public School also have the chance to compete in local and state events.
Creative and performing arts
Our drama, music and art programs help students be creative and express themselves. They can join in concerts, art shows and drama activities. Our school is a part of the Camden Valley Way High Potential Gifted Education Creative Domain Workshops and Stage 3 students are able to self nominate to be a part of this fabulous opportunity.
Trips and excursions
Our students enjoy getting out of the classroom to explore, learn and try new things. These experiences help them grow, build confidence and see how their learning connects to the world.
Sport
Our 3-6 students enjoy participating in Gala days, Zone athletics, swimming and cross country carnivals. All students engage in weekly sport and physical activity and we hold annual swimming carnivals, cross country carnivals and athletics carnivals. We love having sporting organisations visit us to run clinics.
Chess Club
Our students have opportunities to engage in a wide range of extra curricular activities. Our Chess club competed against other schools recently with all of our students winning at least one of their games.
